War then, War now

currently war countries
One of the most terrifying things in this universe is facing the war. Despite set clear boundaries, peace treaties, agreements signed on various ground, we find the ongoing war in many parts of the world and that poses threat to lives constantly. It is estimated, 108 million people were killed in war in 20th century. There can be various reasons for waging war which can range from power tussle, violating the agreement, fighting to acquire resources, fighting in the name of religion and the list can go on. Check war conflict chart enclosed.

War in recent times is very unpredictable. We can lose our lives just by breathing poisonous air with an effect of powerful nuclear bombs. With sophisticated weapons, countries can be effaced permanently in a matter of minutes. Why do nations wage war and force to curtail the beautiful life meant to be lived happily and enjoy the goodness of the universe created by God? It is equal to committing suicide. Have you thought about it? It is easy to cheer up, but life can honestly be devastating for all of us and for our families.

Do you know the worst sufferers are the children in any war?  Currently 357 million children are forced to grow up in the midst of armed conflict. This atmosphere of violence has many direct negative effects on the mental health of these children - including feelings of fear, anxiety, and depression. Then all sorts of crime against women rises to the peak too. Families scattered, forced laborers increase, human trafficking for some reason increases too. The economy may suffer devastating impacts during and after a time of war.

The Bible which is 3,400 years old predicts accurately “You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars.” And it further says, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God'. The solution to such disaster can never be retaliation,  but yes, we are responsible to fight against corruption, poverty, ulterior motives and against contraband and all sort of crimes. Jesus summed up religion in two commandments, “Love God and Love others,”, and for that He had to face crucifixion. The only solution to personal and world problem is promoting love and peace and that is possible when we accept to be transformed. Can we also engage in spreading the message of peace and love?

Currently 15 countries are in war. As on 1st March-19 looking at the twitter news #SayNoToWar, I noticed 95 thousand people were tweeting under this hashtag to stop war in any parts of the country.

Let me display few tweets that made so much sense.
It’s a war against terror not between 2 nations yet. Dear Media —-you can actually stop this escalation .. please let’s be responsible and work towards peace.’
‘The only war India and Pakistan should fight is illiteracy, Poverty and violence’ #SayNotoWar
“War only brings destruction .. so stop celebrating it & lets pray that it should end here
‘Don’t celebrate war, Give peace a chance’
