Fighting corruption at large!

Corruption is simply crime without conscience. George Richard Marek

'Corruption' is not a stranger to any of us. We have all faced corruption at some point of time.  Even children understand it better. At some form it has appeared to all of us and we have experienced it. The magnitude of corruption might have differed but the fact the corruption existed and existing cannot be denied. It is there in schools, sports, families, work place, in entertainment industry, fashion industries, political arena, religious places and the list goes on, you name the place and it is there in abundance.

Should you notice the source you will know that it starts from individuals and spreads at a larger spectrum. Personal corruption leads to corruption at large.

If anything, we wish to do about should start from us, me and from our families. This will be possible and effective by the help of the one who knows us and our heart better than our spouses, our family members, children, friends and anybody who claims to know us better. It should be definitely none other than God. We may try to be honest and good person but to get that perfected we need a divine help and that should be a God who is interested in transforming lives and character. Let's fight against corruption of all forms and be an example to our children first and then be an influence in all the other areas.

Children are at risk! Worth protecting

There is no doubt that WhatsApp has become an important part of our day-to-day lives. Earlier this year (2018), Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had announced that WhatsApp has 1.5 billion monthly active users (MAUs) who are exchanging nearly 60 billion messages on a single day. (Financial Express 10th Sep-18). The news is overwhelming, isn’t it? At the end, the highest affected people group are our children. They have to balance between the extreme pressure of studies and connecting socially and protect themselves from the "Fear Of Missing Out" (FOMO)

It is said that the average teenager sends 3,400 electronic messages a month while lying in bed, and the average person checks the phone 200 times a day- that’s once every six and half minutes. Technology has altered human psychology. It affects memory, attention span and sleep cycles. This is attributed to scientific phenomenon known as Neuroplasticity. The other problem is Phantom vibration syndrome or phantom ringing syndrome. It is the perception that one's mobile phone is vibrating or ringing when it is not.

Do you Know?
The constant use of Technology has shortened our attention span from 12 minutes to 5 minutes. Technology impacts the pleasure systems of the brain in ways similar to substances. It provides some of the same reward that alcohol and other drugs might: It can be a boredom buster, a social lubricant and an escape from reality.

Over usage of technology damages, the brain systems connecting emotional processing, attention and decision-making. A new study links anxiety and severe depression with the rise in use of smartphones, tablets and other devices. The side effects of technology in the case of young adults is even worse.

I am sure God has a greater plan and purpose for each of us than just these frivolities. With Technology we are in the danger of purposely losing out our innate abilities, which God has divinely bestowed on us. God has put you and me in a family institution to cultivate love and find happiness in who we are and in achieving the purpose for life. If there is a God we believe, then He should have the power to transform you and restore you to the original goodness He has meant for you. Life is short. Find the purpose of life and connect to enjoy fullest potential. Help and save yourself and your children from this precarious addiction.

Madness of haste!

In today’s generation our lives have become so instantaneous that anything requiring patience and perseverance can appear unattractive. We require instant returns and instant result. The general idea goes this way, if it is delaying it is not worth. And believe me, this is one of the major catastrophes in this modern era. Researchers from Tristan Taomina Sex education comments on the problem of the generation who echo, “We are in the world that we want and we want right now”. And to our convenience anything we fantasize or dream are at our dispersal and in that all the vices tops the list.
This is a real challenge for especially young people because they are no more taught to manage their emotions. Instant Self-gratification stands at high priority due to which the rights of the women and girls in our society are violated. Today the growing problem of perversion, rape, and abuse are a menace to the society and causes threat to the weak and vulnerable section of our society the most. Diane Langberg Psychologist for Trauma survivors’ comments that even homes are becoming unsafe, “Globally, one in three women suffer from abuse and violence in their lifetime and the vast majority of that occurs within the home, tribe, religious places or community. That means these victims found home (the place where the family dwells) to be the most dangerous place on earth.”.
Similarly, the other traits like dishonesty and manipulation are also at the peak, which people use to instantly gratify their wants. The negative consequences  no more bothers them because it gratifies according to their taste. The cycle continues with their children.  Let’s not forget the laws of nature and the law of God when it comes to timing and spacing. The delivery of child cannot be accelerated, the growth phase from childhood to adulthood cannot be fast-paced. When God designed the universe He had a purpose to arrange things in a particular order.
The by-product of rushing to the next thing is that we fail to fully value people. Everyone else becomes a means to an end, someone who can help us get to where we’re going, rather than someone we’re called to journey alongside. The disease of now actually stops us living in the now. We miss the opportunity for a divine connection because we’re too busy looking five steps ahead. Let’s stay human. Let’s become, better humans. The Bible warns, “Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good; haste makes mistakes."

Your lifestyle will impact your entire generation!

Who we are?
We have many too many responses to describe who we are. Most often we like to show the images we displayed in the network, the designation we hold, the news about us on the air that talks about us. But who are you really behind the avatars you've created for yourself? what are you covering up? what are you afraid of? What are you hoping for? Where are you going?  Your lifestyle, decisions and leadership is sure to affect your entire generation. It can be fun in the present but not fun indeed for our children if they have to face the brunt because of our wrong decisions.

Our good depends upon our belief and trust on God who has modeled His good life for all of us to follow. A savior a God who is impeccable and willing to help us in the areas of our struggle and simultaneously transform us and make life worth living.  In the Bible the statement of Jesus is recorded, and it says, "I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.". May we leave a legacy that will impact our entire generation for good.

War then, War now

currently war countries
One of the most terrifying things in this universe is facing the war. Despite set clear boundaries, peace treaties, agreements signed on various ground, we find the ongoing war in many parts of the world and that poses threat to lives constantly. It is estimated, 108 million people were killed in war in 20th century. There can be various reasons for waging war which can range from power tussle, violating the agreement, fighting to acquire resources, fighting in the name of religion and the list can go on. Check war conflict chart enclosed.

War in recent times is very unpredictable. We can lose our lives just by breathing poisonous air with an effect of powerful nuclear bombs. With sophisticated weapons, countries can be effaced permanently in a matter of minutes. Why do nations wage war and force to curtail the beautiful life meant to be lived happily and enjoy the goodness of the universe created by God? It is equal to committing suicide. Have you thought about it? It is easy to cheer up, but life can honestly be devastating for all of us and for our families.

Do you know the worst sufferers are the children in any war?  Currently 357 million children are forced to grow up in the midst of armed conflict. This atmosphere of violence has many direct negative effects on the mental health of these children - including feelings of fear, anxiety, and depression. Then all sorts of crime against women rises to the peak too. Families scattered, forced laborers increase, human trafficking for some reason increases too. The economy may suffer devastating impacts during and after a time of war.

The Bible which is 3,400 years old predicts accurately “You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars.” And it further says, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God'. The solution to such disaster can never be retaliation,  but yes, we are responsible to fight against corruption, poverty, ulterior motives and against contraband and all sort of crimes. Jesus summed up religion in two commandments, “Love God and Love others,”, and for that He had to face crucifixion. The only solution to personal and world problem is promoting love and peace and that is possible when we accept to be transformed. Can we also engage in spreading the message of peace and love?

Currently 15 countries are in war. As on 1st March-19 looking at the twitter news #SayNoToWar, I noticed 95 thousand people were tweeting under this hashtag to stop war in any parts of the country.

Let me display few tweets that made so much sense.
It’s a war against terror not between 2 nations yet. Dear Media —-you can actually stop this escalation .. please let’s be responsible and work towards peace.’
‘The only war India and Pakistan should fight is illiteracy, Poverty and violence’ #SayNotoWar
“War only brings destruction .. so stop celebrating it & lets pray that it should end here
‘Don’t celebrate war, Give peace a chance’
